You’ve decided on the niche that you want to target. So now it’s time to do your keyword research. Without the exact keywords in the titles, descriptions, and content on your site the internet will pass your site by and it will quickly turn into no man’s land.

Does it seem daunting to you? Don’t fear baby boomers as there are many options such as free tools, paid tools or any number of keyword research services available.

Free tools include Google’s Adwords keyword tool, Wordtracker and many other tools. Just do a search for free keyword tools and take your pick.  I prefer Google’s tool as you also can download the keywords to analyze later.

The paid tools will offer more options to work with, such as competition analysis, adwords costs, promotion tools etc. Once again there are many available although my favorite of the paid tools is Market Samurai which you can trial for free. I love these try before you buy deals.

Keyword research is all about sorting through the lists of words and finding those golden nugget keywords or long-tail keyword phrases that will help rank your site higher in the search engines.
Just as important, people looking to resolve their problems will find it easier to come across what they need to make their life better.

Can Keyword Research Services Really Help?

I have tried many keyword research services and most have their advantages and disadvantages. I finally came across one that provided all I was looking for. This service will:

  • Give you a list of keywords ranging from low competition to high competition keywords.
  • Keyword Research ServicesOrganize the keywords in a logical manner so you can start with the lowest competition keywords and work your way up to the high competition keywords. Doing this will  build up your ranking.
  • Give you  a list of available domains for the keywords.
  • You can also ask for a list (at an extra charge) of the questions being asked about those keywords. This is a great way to target your efforts.

Keyword research is very labor intensive and not everyone enjoys it, rather seeing it as tedious and boring. Not Keyword Angel. This business actually enjoys providing keyword research services and is very good at it. I almost forgot to mention the turn around is pretty quick as well. Check out the site and take a look at the testimonials. You’ll find me there.

    Thanks Gee,
I had never really though of using a paid service for keyword research because I love doing it. I can see how it would be laborious for some people, and it was for me in the beginning too, but now I find it fun. It is such a great feeling to find a brilliant keyword that meet the criteria like good search volume and low competition. I also use Market Samurai, they have great a support team and are always improving their product with updates and for the one time payment I think it was money very well spent. I think their product is highly under-priced for the value you get from it.

    Hi Gee

Keyword research has been something that I’ve found very baffling. Slowly, but surely I’m seeing the potential of what Market Samurai has to offer. You can spend hours and hours on presentation, and writing great content, but there’s not much point if noone can find you!

    Thanks for a great post.

Again I am challenged on using Keyword Tools. I am so busy learning all the other techniques and trying to get the posts written that I often forget the importance of the keyword research.
    Loved the Baby Boomers video.
Although I am a “pre-baby boomer”, I am thankful I do not suffer from the things mentioned on the video.
When my patients ask me why, I joking tell them its because “I don’t drink , smoke or go out with wild women!!!!”

    Great Post Gee

      Hi Bill

While there is lots of information around it is time consuming. Although Theresa can provide that service you are also able to sign up to her newsletter on her site and she will teach you how to do it.

  5. Hi Gee,

Good to see someone underlying the importance of good keyword research services. Like Jill, I’m a Market Samurai convert (and also an avid user of the Google Keywood tool – simply because it’s faster and slightly more accessible). I haven’t heard of Keyword Angel before. Sounds like a business that adds the missing human-check element, which is a great value add. Good luck Theresa.

      Hi David

I agree with on on the tools, however they are only tools. It’s how you use them what matters in the end.

Theresa’s service is designed for those that either don’t like doing the research or are time limited.

    Hi Gee,
I am learning more each day the importance of keyword research especially long-tailed-keywords for a niche product. Market Samurai is a useful tool that Internet Marketers should not be without. I do think profits wouldn’t be as good without regularly using this fantastic research tool.

      Hi Jill

      I agree and love MS.

Theresa’s expertise is in being able to collate kws in an orderly fashion very quickly. Also I didn’t mention that she also teaches how to do it for those that aren’t in a position to use her services.

      Regards

  7. Hi Gee,
Thank you for an informative post and especially your support of my keyword research services. This is certainly an area that can be the deal breaker for your website and articles if you don’t do it correctly.

By the way, I’m working on a list you suggested on the keywords-ready-to-go page.

    All the best,
    Theresa
