The current financial situation is very scary for the 50+ age group or baby boomers as they are referred to. When older people lose their job they will find it a lot harder to find another one because of their age. So what are they to do in this situation? Internet marketing may be an ideal solution.
Where Does The Baby Boomer Start?
First of all if you can text, email or browse the internet you are on the way. Most baby boomers will have learnt how to use a computer because of their job. This would have been a necessity due to changes in technology.
With myself, being a baby boomer, I learnt computers through my children. At the time computers were starting to come into the schools to help kids learn. So I wanted one at home to help them along, but I didn’t know anything about them.
So what did I do? I enrolled in a computer class at the local school. I was the only baby boomer in the class but I wanted to learn. And most of the other students didn’t know much more about computers than I did. In fact I was a little ahead of them as the computer I had bought was a Commodore Amiga. What do you think they were teaching on? An Amiga! One up for the baby boomer.
What Are the Options?
When you are looking for the right vehicle to market online there is no better way for a baby boomer to start than with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing allows you to start up for no or little cost. There isn’t any requirement to develop a product, service customers or any of the other costs associated with a traditional business.
It does take work but if you follow the right processes it can be relatively easy. You will get out of it what you put in. If you are looking for a get quick scheme I suggest you go and buy a lottery ticket.
Where Do I Get The Right Information?
Marketing information is all over the internet. Some of it is good and some is rubbish. It is a matter of doing the research. Here google will be your friend, so start by searching for terms such as internet marketing, work from home or affiliate marketing.
When you find some interesting sites make sure the marketer identifies themselves. From there search for their name and see if there is any bad comments on them. If there have been bad experiences with a particular program you will find people will post their thoughts online.
Forums are an ideal place to gather this information. In forums people will be very honest with their experiences and be willing to recommend sites that they have had a pleasant experience with. There are internet marketing forums that baby boomers will be able to join everywhere.

There is no doubt the internet is a well of information as well as a fountain of money if one learns how to market appropriately. Getting the right information at the right time makes all the difference. Only one caution is to not fall prey to the information overload dragon. It’s a bugger and keeps on mired in the same spot for as long as your let it.
That’s why joining communities that train you or point you in the right direction are so vital and certainly not lacking. The trick is to find the one that gives and gives and gives.

Hi Marie
Finding the right mentoring is so critical. I believe YOTA is the ultimate
There is actually a lot of good training available out there. I prefer marketing merge. Their stuff is extremely comprehensive and leads you through from start to finish. Most companies like them are self-serving, but I have not gotten that impression at all. They really do want to help people.

Its great that you have found something that you are comfortable with. Its not easy trying to wade through all the crap.
My preference is YOTA and I don’t see any reason to change.
